This custom manufactured natural marble vanity counter was damaged when a heavy glass object (custom glass light fixture prism) fell off of the adjacent wall and consequently broke it. The marble slab on the floor below also broke. Extensive research was done to locate matching marble material. As you can see in the photo, this marble was used throughout this Master Bath area. We eventually located some matching material in a supplier's scrap yard. A custom vanity top was then manufactured and a replacement slab was cut and fit to replace the floor area. The end result was a perfect match. No one would ever know the damage had occurred.

We where contacted late in the afternoon after a wind storm had just blown through our area. The customer information and a description of the situation were provided to us and we responded. There was a large tree which had fallen on a two story home and needed to be removed. The roof and walls also needed to be temporarily covered and protected from our Pacific N.W. winter weather. The crew arrived to find a familiar situation. In order to remove this large tree a crane would be required. The crewman then informed the home owner of the situation and arranged for a crane service to meet with them first thing the following morning. For temporary protection, the roof was covered with the tree still in its fallen place. The crane was necessary for safety and to prevent further damage during the removal of the large and cumbersome tree. Our crewmen met with the crane service the following morning and the work began. We worked together to remove the tree using safe and effective methods.
Once the tree was removed our focus and preparations changed to the rebuilding process. A meeting was arranged with the insurance adjustor to discuss and develop an agreed scope of work for the permanent repairs. Our repair estimate was produced and was accepted by the customer who then contracted with our company to perform the repairs. Our team was then assembled and the repair process began. A moving company, structural engineer services, building permits, framing, roofing, insulation, drywall, electrical, plumbing, floor covering, finish carpentry and painting were all required aspects to accomplish the finish product on this project.

This custom Snohomish home was damaged by a tree that came down through the gable crushing the length of the roof. Nordic Services was dispatched for emergency services to remove the tree, protect the remaining home and prevent further damage. A crane was utilized to remove the 30" diameter tree from the 2 ½ story structure. Once the tree was safely removed, our crew performed the temporary cover, clean up and removal of the tree. Special attributes to this restoration project were that the home was furnished with custom fir millwork and doors, the customer was a retired union carpentry teacher.

A letter of recommendation: For a complicated multi-family rehabilitation project, I think Nordic did a magnificent job. The superintendent executed design intent perfectly. Aesthetic intent was followed to the letter, including revisions and modifications. I would definitely recommend Nordic Construction Services.
